A Guide To Buying From Us

All second-hand items that have been previously used, will be sent to you completely clean, having been soaked and washed by us in eco-friendly detergents. We send you everything in a condition that we feel is ready to use, but we know that everyone likes to pre-wash their own items and infuse their own smell(!), which we recommend you do so that this recycled item is to your satisfaction.

*Note that second hand items may contain labels that state they are part of a set (i.e. 7 part set), however, in most instances we do not have the set - what is stated in the descriptions is what you get. Also, As New items do not necessarily come in their own packaging (usually the packaging is wrecked!), nor do they necessarily have tags on them. If buying as a gift for others, please make sure they won't be upset by this.

Please read carefully below so that you can be sure of what you are getting when you buy second-hand with us.

As New = this item is second-hand, but the supplier has never used it in any way. It may have been kept in storage, but the item is 'as new' - it has not been pre-washed or worn. When items are As New, we send them to you in this way without pre-washing it.

Excellent Condition = this item is second-hand and has been used or worn a couple of times. It has been cleaned to excellent standards. The fabric will look as if it has been washed a couple of times before, but you would not necessarily know that it has been used.

Very Good Condition = this item is second-hand and has been used or worn. It has been cleaned to very good condition. There are no stains or marks, but you would suspect that it has been previously used as the fabric will look washed a few times and may have just a slight bit of bobbling. The item will have plenty of wear left in it.

Good Condition = this item is second-hand and has been used and washed plenty of times before it arrived with us. We have cleaned it to a good condition ensuring that there are no stains or marks. The material will have some bobbling and or other signs of wear, but this will not be extensive (this will be very clear in the description / photos) and there will certainly be no holes or tears. We are selling it because we feel it has plenty of wear left in it for a very affordable price.

We usually only have 1 (yes ONLY ONE) of each item in stock. We try very hard to keep our website as updated as possible, but on rare occasions, you may find that you have ordered something that has just been nabbed by someone else! In this case, we will contact you straight away and either give you a refund or ask if you'd like an alternative.

We try very hard to make all photographs as accurate as possible, but please note that colours can vary due to the type of fabric, lighting and personal interpretation and may not be exactly as pictured.

The above makes up the main section of our store, but we also have a Bargain Basement!

Here you will find our sale items and very worn / stained items, that show signs of wear and tear, extremely stubborn stains, possibly holes, etc. However, they are all still clean and do not smell bad. (Remember that 'stained' simply means just that, it does not mean unhygienic.)

Items start from FREE to £1 maximum, depending on the condition.

Some of them actually are bargains - anyone who is a good seamstress, or anyone who is a stain-removal guru, may find it worthwhile having a look at this section.

Item decriptions in this section are all individualised for that item, detailed, with clear photographs of the items so you can see exactly what you are getting.

Finally, we do also have a few Brand New items dotted around the shop. This is a small selection as our main aim is to get you buying second hand! But we also want to get you trying cloth nappies and things that help the economy, the environment and your baby's natural ability to heal.

Brand New items are described as such and are made up of either biodegradable, natural materials and / or are ethically sourced (i.e. from fair trade suppliers). We support small businesses (like work at home mums) and like them to make up the bulk of our suppliers for these items.
